On-Demand CRM vs. On-Premise CRM

Over the years, CRM users have had to choose one of two camps - install and maintain your own CRM system in-house and those who have choose the software as a service (SaaS) on-demand solution to meet their CRM needs. Many people feel that On-Demand CRM holds the edge over On-Premise CRM. In my mind, the real decision lies in the organization's functional requirements. It is dangerous for the technical requirements of the CRM solution (on premise vs. on demaind) to dictate the chosen CRM software.
