The COVID-19 pandemic has put a spotlight on a trend that has been growing steadily over the recent months and years – the need to support efficient remote collaboration. The time is now and it will likely remain a top-level need well into the future. We are both witness to and participants in a major shift in how work gets done. As we all process and plan for the realities and unknowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic, organizations also need to adapt quickly.
At Rightpoint, we are doing everything we can to keep people safe, inside and outside our company, while also continuing to provide the kind of partnership that clients need to navigate through these difficult times.
Safety FirstFrom a safety perspective, we implemented a work-from-home policy several weeks ago. While it was strongly encouraged at first, it is now mandatory. We are fortunate in that our teams are used to working remotely and collaborating virtually using digital tools. As such, we have not seen any disruptions in our ability to collaborate with and support our clients.
Continuing to Provide the Highest Level of Client ServiceWe have a strong and diverse suite of collaboration tools available for our employees to use among each other and with clients. We have proven that we are able to partner with clients throughout the entire lifecycle of projects without disruption.
Investing in “Working Remote” InfrastructureWe continue to invest in our “working remote” infrastructure to ensure that collaboration is top-notch and that our people do not bear any significant financial burden for working remotely. We use a suite of tools that enable communication and support our processes to allow the team to focus on the right things. Additionally, we have instituted new processes to ensure communication levels stay high both internally as well as with our clients. This includes starting (or continuing in many cases) daily standups, weekly status meetings, and monthly executive check-ins to ensure we are delivering on our promise.
Remaining Agile in the Face of ChangeAs the situation unfolds with each passing day, we will adapt and evolve our processes to what is needed. We remain flexible so that we can adjust to our own and our clients’ new realities. We firmly believe that we are all better together, as Rightpoint, as our clients’ partner, and as a citizen of the world.
