Detroit, MI – August 17, 2020 – Global experience leader Rightpoint, a Genpact company, has been recognized as #20 on 2020’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan list by Crain’s Detroit Business. This is the second consecutive year that Rightpoint was included on this list.
The Cool Places to Work in Michigan list is determined through employer and employee surveys designed to gather detailed information about the workplace, administered by Best Companies Group. Employers first complete an in-depth questionnaire about company policies, practices, benefits, demographics and more. Then, employees get the opportunity to provide anonymous, honest feedback about their experience working at the company.
Rightpoint’s dedication to upholding a people-focused work culture that drives creativity and innovation was a primary factor for its inclusion on this list. Although Rightpoint has grown to include over 700 team members across 11 offices, CEO and co-founder Ross Freedman continues to meet with every new hire, either in-person or over the phone, to get to know them individually. This personal connection helps each employee really feel like part of a team, and gives them the opportunity to learn more about Rightpoint’s employee initiatives and strengthen its overall work culture.
Rightpoint’s Detroit office first opened its doors in 2013 and reflected the excitement and creativity of the city by naming conference rooms after historic music studios. Since then, the Detroit office has fully embodied Righpoint’s commitment to employee growth and development through many initiatives, both companywide and Detroit-specific. Some of these initiatives include Innovation Tuesdays, which are twice-monthly sessions that allow teams to brainstorm and collaborate, and Beers and Beats, after work music jam sessions on Fridays where everyone is encouraged to bring in their own instruments. These office events encourage team members to build strong relationships with their co-workers and foster a workplace focused on collaboration. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these in-person collaborations and connections were put on pause, but the Detroit team continues to find unique ways to stay connected from afar including weekly office calls with business updates and fun along with weekly Sunny Fridays, a virtual space before the weekend to talk about things outside of work.
“We are thrilled to be included on this year’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan list,” said Tom Keuten, Managing Director, Rightpoint Detroit. “We strive to create an environment where team members can collaborate and connect openly, and inclusion on this list is proof that employees at every level of our organization feel the effects of our people-driven approach.”
