CHICAGO – March 6, 2019 – Rightpoint, an independent customer experience agency with technology at its core, proudly announces that Ben Johnson, Vice President of Mobile Strategy, has been named one of five finalists in the Agency – Creative/Strategy category of the Digiday Future Leader Awards. Johnson’s ability to guide clients and the Rightpoint team through the ever-changing worlds of mobile, digital transformation and emerging technology led to him earning the prestigious honor.
In its inaugural year, the Digiday Future Leader Awards were created to recognize the next generation of leaders in media and marketing. With hundreds of applications submitted, executives from media companies Mindshare and Ranker along with lifestyle brand ’47 acted as judges and selected the finalists based on their displays of leadership, forward thinking and results-driven successes.
As a technology and mobile entrepreneur, Johnson helps some of the world’s largest businesses develop mobile applications strategies, design and development and utilize emerging technology like voice and augmented reality to stand out against competitors and improve their end user’s customer journey. Through his work with clients, including The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), Pelotonia, Macy’s, Six Flags, Rue La La and Bloomingdale’s, Johnson’s unique perspective on mobile app development allows him to surpass client goals and help brands create personalized experiences with users in their day-to-day lives. For example, during the development of the PULLL app, Johnson’s belief in practical innovation allowed the team to look at consumers’ social behavior and develop a number of impactful features that allowed the app to unlock over $500,000 for cancer research in three months.
Recognized among other emerging leaders, such as Alexis Lynn Ellis of Digitas, Alicia Carroll of Omnicom Media Group and Roxana Zadeh of January Digital, Johnson’s forward-looking approach helped him stand out among competitors. A believer that impactful innovation only happens through incremental improvement, Johnson pushes his team to physically put themselves in the heart of both the consumer and client, overall strengthening the way Rightpoint does business.
“As Vice President of Mobile Strategy, Ben Johnson has been a key asset in helping Rightpoint move toward its goal of becoming the agency of the future,” said Greg Raiz, Chief Innovation Officer at Rightpoint. “With his extraordinary knowledge and deep passion for mobile, Ben has helped Rightpoint counsel brands on the strategies and solutions they need to challenge the status quo and become digital disruptors in their respective markets. This unique outlook makes him a future leader of the industry.”
