Rightpoint Launches Yammer App, FeedCast

Collaboration strategists at Rightpoint create app to display Yammer content in real-time.

CHICAGO – August 26, 2014 – Rightpoint, a leading digital agency and technology consulting company based in Chicago with offices in Denver and Detroit, today released FeedCast™, a free application that displays targeted content from a Yammer network.

 

FeedCast is designed to collect and display continuous streams of content from a private Yammer network. Targeted content can be displayed by network, group or hashtag. The app is most commonly used to visualize Yammer content in a public place or on-display for an audience. A key benefit is that people are able to see and digest content in real-time. Some examples include:

  • Events – show attendees what fellow peers are saying about an event or session.
  • Offices – project what employees are talking about in a lobby, lunch room or lounge.
  • On the shop floor – Engage employees, even those that don't sit in front of a computer. Use the Yammer mobile app to continue the conversation. 

FeedCast respects security and does not store any usernames, passwords or conversation. All authentication is done through Yammer. The application lives completely within the browser and uses modern client-side development techniques, meaning conversations cannot be logged by FeedCast's servers.
