I have decided to pursue my Microsoft Certification. I am going to going after Microsoft's new generation of Certifications, which means I am first going for my .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications.
Update: I am now confused as to what path to take. It seems like a more relevant Certification would be MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Applications. Which is good because I have still completed the first exam for that certification (70-536).
MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Applications Requirements
Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework – Application Development Foundation
Exam 70-562: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Application Development
Honestly the 70-536 exam was harder than I thought, because I mainly specialize in Web apps. The reason I passed was honestly from reading about half the book in the office and half from taking the online practice exams. I found at least 6 questions out of 40 that were on the exam verbatim. Somebody leaked! Sweet!
Here is a list of online resources:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Certified_Professional - Good explanations but might be a little dated
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcts/vstudio/2008/default.mspx - This page gave descriptions of 3.5 Framework related certifications.
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcts/webapps/default.mspx - 2.0 related Certification
