Rightpoint Named One of Crain’s Detroit Business’s 2022 Cool Places to Work in Michigan

DETROIT, MI – August 22, 2022 – Global experience leader Rightpoint, a Genpact company, has been recognized as #6 in the Large Businesses category and #39 overall in the 2022’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan list by Crain’s Detroit Business. This is the fourth consecutive year that Rightpoint was included on the list.

The Cool Places to Work in Michigan list is determined through employer and employee surveys designed to gather detailed information about the workplace, administered by Best Companies Group. Employers first complete an in-depth questionnaire about company policies, practices, benefits, demographics and more. Then, employees get the opportunity to provide anonymous, honest feedback about their experience working at the company.

Rightpoint’s dedication to upholding a people-focused work culture that drives creativity and innovation was a primary factor for its inclusion on this list. Rightpoint has grown to include over 700 team members across 11 offices, and CEO Ron Shamah continues to meet with every new hire, either in-person or over the phone, to get to know them individually. This personal connection helps each employee really feel like part of a team and gives them the opportunity to learn more about Rightpoint’s employee initiatives and strengthen its overall work culture. Employees regularly tell us in our People Pulse engagement surveys that above all, we get to do really cool work with each as we relentlessly help our clients make things simply work better.

Rightpoint’s Detroit office first opened its doors in 2013 and reflected the excitement and creativity of the team by naming conference rooms after historic music studios at its Royal Oak office. Since then, the Detroit office has fully embodied Rightpoint’s commitment to employee growth and development through many initiatives, both companywide and Detroit-specific. Some of these initiatives include regular “Pit Talks” (named after an LA recording studio) to keep the team informed on local and national great work and fun.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, these in-person collaborations and connections were pivoted to virtual and included Shout-Outs in the chats during talks, employee to employee getting to know you sessions, virtual tours, and memes galore on birthdays and anniversaries.  This passion for employee experience fuels Rightpoint client work, as the agency was named a Top 5 Employee Experience provider and Microsoft Employee Experience Partner of the year.    Outside the office, the team likes to collaborate in the Detroit community including working with local youth to provide exposure to careers in digital design through workshops with Diversity in Design and DesignCore.

“We are thrilled to be included on this year’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan list,” said Tom Keuten, Managing Director, Rightpoint Detroit. “We strive to create an environment where team members can do their best work with each other and clients in a very collaborative way, and inclusion on this list is proof that team members at every level of our organization feel the effects of our people-driven approach.”
