Project Crescent is SQL Server Reporting Services' new addition
to its reporting tool portfolio. It is an ad-hoc reporting and
visual exploration experience for casual and experienced users
alike, to collaborate and present data within a SharePoint
environment.
In order to help early adopters achieve success and drive knowledge
back to the product team as well as to the community, Microsoft's
SQL CAT team is offering a one-day deep dive seminar based on our
experience using CTP2 and CTP3 of SQL Server "Denali" to create and
interact with views of data from tabular models:
- Crescent End-2-End Architecture
- Building Crescent reports based on the Tabular Model
- Building and Deploying a Simple Tabular Model using
PowerPivot
- Optimizing a Tabular Model for Crescent
- Developing and/or Importing a Tabular Model using Business
Intelligence Development Studio
- Importing and Managing a Tabular Model using SQL Server
Management Studio
- Data Analysis Expressions
- Using Direct Query Mode for Real-Time Analysis
- Solving Complex Tabular Modeling Scenarios
- End-to-end Security
