completed the implementation of a new system to automate invoice
processing and other accounts payable business documents for
Culligan, the industry leader in water treatment for more than 70
years. By automating data entry of structured and unstructured
documents with a more streamlined, less paper-intensive process,
Culligan is expected to realize significant cost and efficiency
savings.
Using a state-of-the-art document imaging system from
KnowledgeLake combined with the SharePoint platform, the new
accounts payable and invoicing solution provides a central
repository to track and pay vendor invoices for Culligan's 90
stores and two corporate locations. The new system also streamlines
and automates accounts payable business documents including
purchase orders, credit memos and service orders. Data is captured
from Culligan's invoices and automatically uploaded to a QAD
accounting system. The images and indexes are then stored in
Microsoft SharePoint and retrieved via KnowledgeLake Imaging
Server. Following the implementation of the Accounts Payable
solution, Rightpoint will work with Culligan to add a remote
scanning capability from digital copy machines, or multi-function
devices.
