Imerman Angels Selects Rightpoint to Build CRM System to Match Cancer Fighters, Survivors, Caregivers and Volunteers

AT Chicago, IL ON Monday June 9, 2008

Rightpoint announced today that it has been selected to implement a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) for Imerman Angels, a non-profit organization that helps connect cancer fighters with cancer survivors. The CRM system will serve as a medium to manage and track Imerman's one-on-one cancer support service, which partners people fighting cancer with others who have beaten the same type of cancer.

"Imerman Angels is a unique organization with an amazing mission," said Brad Schneider, Director at Rightpoint. "We are honored to have been chosen to help take their mission to the next level by creating a system that will provide a means to better capture information and track the relationships of cancer fighters, survivors, caregivers and volunteers who are part of the Imerman Angels network."

The new system will leverage the capabilities of Microsoft CRM in order to manage the unique criteria of millions of people affected by cancer. Using a live call center as the point of entry, cancer fighters will provide call center representatives, who are cancer survivors with personal information that will enable the system to match them with a Cancer survivor based on fields such as age, gender, religion, type of cancer and geographic location. Fighters will have the ability to rank the fields in order of importance in order to ensure that they are matched with the most appropriate person. Once all information is entered into the system, the CRM System will search for the closest matching survivors. Fighters and survivors will also have the ability to submit their information using a web-based system, which will automatically upload to the CRM database. The system will also provide a means to form one-on-one relationships between caregivers - friends or family of a loved one who has been affected by cancer.

"As a Cancer survivor, I know first hand how important it is to have the support of someone who can relate to what you are going through in a very real and very specific way. The challenge is in finding that person," said Jonny Imerman, founder of Imerman Angels. ""Because we work with a different kind of 'customer' we were not looking for a typical CRM system. It is important to us to work with a partner that not only has extensive CRM experience but also understands our unique needs. Rightpoint possesses these important qualities and combines them with flexible approach and the ability to implement our system in a quick timeframe. This made them the best choice for us."

"There are 10 million cancer survivors living in the U.S. and 1.7 million new cases diagnosed every year. Our goal is to have every single Cancer survivor in our system so that we can do the best job we can in helping to link fighters and survivors," Imerman concluded.
