Job Description
The Interaction Designer will be a key addition to the small and growing User Experience team at Rightpoint. The Interaction Designer’s core responsibility is to drive product designs from ideation to implementation. This will involve developing the creative direction, making wireframes and building interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts. Because of the size and nature of the company, the person who will succeed in this role will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment under multiple projects and deadlines. The Interaction Designer should be able to guide and follow a user-centered design process and iterate quickly to achieve validated design.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
- Working knowledge of design tools such as PhotoShop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Axure
- Ability to generate interactive prototypes using tools such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flex, jQuery
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or related field or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building interactive prototypes
- Visual design acuity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills between both the customer and all levels within the organization are required
Preferred Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in user interface and interaction design, specific experience with web site or web application design is a strong plus
- Experience working with clients to translate business needs into design requirements
